The Planning Admin Network

The Planning Admin Network (PAN) was launched by TRA in  November 2006 as part of its ongoing commitment to providing learning and development opportunities for planning administrative and support staff.

Although originally developed mainly to assist this particular staff group, PAN is open to anyone with an interest or involvement in the administration of the planning systems in England, Scotland and Wales.

The network is operated online and features a Discussion Forum where members can post their queries or concerns and get help and feedback from other practitioners facing similar issues and, where appropriate, from members of the TRA team, headed by Senior Associate Vivien Green.  An extensive News Section is also updated on a monthly basis and members are notified by email when the latest issue is available. Other features include Useful Links and an Events Calendar.

We would encourage anyone involved/interested in planning administration/support to join the network. Membership is on an individual basis and is absolutely FREE.

The success of the network depends very much on the people who use it. We hope you will be able to make the most of the unique opportunity it provides to contact people working in similar roles and share experiences, advice, problems etc.

Further information on the network is available on this pdf flyer. For any queries or comments regarding the Planning Admin Network, please contact Angela Holmes.

The PAN online survey for members

In July/August 2010 we invited PAN members to complete an online survey. This was designed to help ascertain how the network members used PAN and what improvements could be made to the network and website. You can view the follow-up report here.
