Working with British Standard 5837:2005

This extremely popular workshop is aimed at all arboriculturists and planners who want to learn about the practical aspects of dealing with tree-related development applications. The revision of BS5837 has taken account of a number of issues and problems that arose during the life of BS5837:1991 and which were tested and found wanting at site meetings and at appeal. The workshop takes delegates through the key issues and provides an opportunity to discuss the revisions, the rationale behind them, and how they improve the tree care process. A key aim of the workshop is to provide a stronger technical base for decision making. It is a must for all officers who regularly deal with development applications and need to have a handle on how the revised standard should work in practice.
