Training Programmes
Forum on Planning Agreements and Developer Contributions
This new Forum (conference) was introduced in 2009 as part of TRA's new package of training and consultancy relating to planning obligations and agreements. It is intended to become the main gathering in England and Wales for professionals in the public and private sectors with a specific interest in this area. It will be run on an annual basis in different venues, with the first Forum having taken place in Manchester in 2009.
The programme for each conference will be fixed in detail only a short time ahead, when publicity details will be circulated. However, it is possible to reserve places on these events at any time.
The format will include a mixture of:
- plenary presentations on aspects of general interest
- smaller group sessions on specific aspects which may be of specialist interest
- case-study presentations
- general discussion sessions
- opportunities for informal discussion and exchange of experience, an invaluable dimension of TRA forums.
TRA already runs successful and well established Forums on other specialist aspects of planning, including planning enforcement and planning support, and we are keen to continue this success with the Planning Agreement Forum.
