Tree related training

Training for practitioners involved with trees

Between 2000 and 2008, TRA organised and delivered a very successful annual programme of training workshops on behalf of the National Association of Tree Officers (NATO). Although TRA is no longer involved in the NATO programme, we are intending to establish a small number of tree-related workshops to be available from 2010 on an in-house basis for individual organisations (or groups of organisations working jointly).

Details of our new tree-related training will be posted on our website and circulated to our existing contacts as soon as they are finalised. If you would like to be kept informed of any tree-related training provided by TRA in the future please email your contact details to promotion@tra-ltd.co.uk.

Training on the interface between planning and trees

As part of our training for planning practitioners, we offer two workshops on the interface between trees and the planning process, one for officers and one for Councillors.

  • Trees and the planning process (officers) is available as part of the programme of Training for Planning and Development Practitioners 2010 (England and Wales). It can also be delivered on an in-house basis for authorities (or groups of authorities) in England, Scotland and Wales.
  • Trees and the planning process: a workshop for Councillors is available exclusively on an in-house basis for authorities (or groups of authorities) in England, Scotland and Wales.
