Road Travel Directions
From the North: A1 and Huntington (A14)
The officially signposted route involves several difficult junctions. We recommend instead that you leave the A14 at the "Dry Drayton" junction just after the "Bar Hill" junction. Follow the signs for Dry Drayton village. As you enter the village, before you reach the church, there is sign for a left turn to "Madingley". Take this road (Park Lane)which brings you very shortly to a T-Junction where you need to turn left. Follow this narrow road for about a mile until you reach a T-Junction where you need to turn right into Madingley village. Go past the Three Horseshoes pub on your left and after approx 100 metres you will see the entrance gates to Madingley Hall on your right.
From Newmarket and the East (A14)
Leave the Cambridge northern bypass on the slip road leading to the M11/A1307/A14 - signed for Huntington. Immediately after joining the A14, fork left for Madingley village. Go past the Three Horseshoes pub on your left and after approx 100 metres you will see the entrance gates to Madingley Hall on your right.
From the South (M11)
Leave the M11 at junction 13 signed Bedford and Cambridge (A428/A1303). Turn left towards Bedford (A428), 250 metres on turn right to Madingley. In just over one mile you come to a T-Junction with the gates to Madingley Hall directly opposite you.
From the West (A428 formerly A45)
After the Dry Drayton-Hardwick roundabout the single carriageway becomes a dual carriageway. Approx half a mile on, take the slip road on the left signposted Cambridge and Madingley. At the roundabout turn left and drive into Madingley. The main gates to Madingley are on your left opposite the road signposted for Cambridge, at a new mini-roundabout. Be careful as the turn into the main drive is quite sharp.
